La Bottega del Legno di Mario Tacchi

Charming shop in Bellagio, specializing in handmade wooden gifts (including hand-painted wooden trays - similar to the ones from Florence). The shop was super busy, but the staff is efficient and personable - we picked up a few items, which the staff wrapped with great care. One of the nicest shops we visited in the Lakes region - highly recommended!

Very cute store, probably the best one in Bellagio which we saw. We bought some nice presents there & the staff were friendly too. All that you want.

Gli impiegati sono molto efficienti e socievoli. Sanno parlare bene la lingua inglese e alcuni di loro anche spagnolo e francese. Il negozio è il più grande del Centro del Borgo ed inoltre è il più antico, dal 1855. È sempre stata in mano a una sola famiglia che ha reso questo negozio più che centenario. Vengono venduti oggetti in legno, per la cucina, per decorazioni, statuette del Medioevo, differenti opzioni di scacchi, quadretti ed infine magneti e cartoline. Mi sono trovato quasi accolto in quell'ambiente.

Wonderful place for some unique souvenirs!

We stopped here because they were advertising crafted wood goods. And they certainly had a lot of wood crafts to share. They seemed like a family running the store as they all seemed very close and familiar with each other, which was nice to observe. They in return were also really nice to me and my family. We noticed that they did carry some unique art stuff my parents got me back here in the states. We bought some wooden coasters with ceramic insets, patterned rollers, and other unique items. All that have been well received by our friends and family. Behind the cashier is a bunch of wood working tools. I would certainly have loved to see them at work.

Visited this store during the off season and it was one of the few shops that was open. They were so nice to us and made sure to individually wrap all of the gifts we bought. Unique collection of products that we hadn’t seen in other stores

bought the hand painted chess pieces. they asked me to assess each piece to make sure they were all good. I didnt pay much attention to it but another staff came by and carefully examined each piece for me. definitely went out of his way which shows they care. gift wrapped it and also are duty free!! also saw similar items in florence which was priced 2x higher so just get it here!
