Its notoriously difficult to find a good geometra over here in italy when purchasing a house, but after a few failed attempts we came across Giancarlo. He was recommended by friends who had worked with him to buy properties in the past, and he couldn't have been more of a breath of fresh air professionally compared to our previous experiences. It was a pleasure to work with him. Everything was done to a fine detail, promptly, and he was always calling to keep us up to date with the process. He is fluent in both English and Italian, and this was a huge help when it came to the (overly!) technical side of things. On a side note, he found out 3 major things that the agent and their geometra missed that would have caused huge problems for us had he not found them. Overall, it was a fantastic experience to work with him. He is a great character and incredibly thorough in every detail and we would recommend him over every service we have experienced by a huge margin. The purchase of a property has been a long journey over a good number of months, but Giancarlo has been with us every step of the way and has been accommodating and helpful when presented with questions, requests for advice and other types of assistance. Despite some unavoidable delays from our side, the sellers side and even Giancarlo's, the process has probably been less stressful than in many cases of this sort. One small frustration has been the occasional slowness of response, but overall we are grateful for his support and satisfied with everything he has done for us. Molte grazie.

Giancarlo helped us find an old farmhouse in the hills above Borgo. He provided a great service in the negotiations and legal administration that made it possible for someone without any experience from the UK to own a dream property in Tuscany. The house was old and in much need of renovation, it was a delight to work with Giancarlo on the design, but it was his skilled local craftsman that made it an actuality. We love the final result and enjoy every minute when living there.

Geometra Marovelli has negotiated some long and difficult issues on an inherited property for us, with complete success and very good outcomes. Highly recommended.

We first met Giancarlo in the winter of 2007 when he showed us a property that we immediately fell in love with. It required a full renovation and over the next 2 years, Giancarlo oversaw a project that created our dream Tuscan holiday home. His work was of a high standard and when we came to sell in 2022 the original fixtures and fittings were still in great condition. His local knowledge, attention to detail, excellent English, and general caring manner made the whole experience easy for us. At the point of sale he also acted for us, smoothing the deal with the Notary when the purchase had hit upon covid related delays. We thoroughly recommend his service.
