La Pensione Svizzera è un piccolo ed affascinante hotel a Taormina situato in una delle più belle strade panoramiche di Taormina, via Pirandello, dove vi ritroverete a soli 4 minuti a piedi dal centro storico e da Corso Umberto, la strada principale di Taormina, a pochi passi dalla funivia che porta a Lido Mazzarò, la più rinomata spiaggia della città, ed alla stazione dei pullman con cui è possibile raggiungere le spiagge bianche nei dintorni di Taormina. In un palazzo che risale al 1920, situato fra le colline ed il mare. Ottima esperienza

Abbiamo soggiornato a La pensione Svizzera il 3 agosto. Devo dire, abbastanza soddisfatta. Personale gentilissimo, camere pulite e una buona colazione. Posizione ottima. Raggiungibile a piedi il centro storico e il teatro greco antico, solo 5 minuti. Consigliatissimo

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay for five days at Hotel La Pensione Svizzera. The service and advices we got for restaurants, beaches and sight seeing was superb. So nice and friendly staff. The location of the hotel is great with beautiful sea view and short walking distance to the city center with all the historic places. We can highly recommended a stay at Hotel La Pensione Svizzera!

First trip to Sicily and we loved it!

We had a fantastic weeks stay at Hotel La Pensione Svizzera. The hotel is clean and well kept. There was a wide range of food for breakfast and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a beautiful view from our room and although the rooms are not large they were perfect for our needs. The hotel is also very well located being in easy walking distance to the old town, the cable car and the bus depot if you wish to travel further afield. Thank you for a great stay!

Great experience!

Amazing location, amazing hotel and great service. We really enjoyed our stay! The staff is very generous. The rooms, although they are small, are comfortable with a great view.

Excellent Value and Location

Hotel Pensione Svizzerra was ace! Excellent value, close (walking distance) to everything in Taormina! The staff at the Hotel went above and beyond to help you with any requests, a shout out to Mario who gave us some great recommendations and helped us organise some activities we wanted to do! Highly recommend this accommodation from a Happy Family of 4! P.S the breakfast is elite and the happy hour was always filled with snacks

Una buona pensione in posizione comoda perché praticamente in centro e a pochi metri dalla funivia che porta al mare , Taormina è molto caotica anche nel mese di giugno e la pensione come la maggior parte degli alberghi trovandosi sulla strada ha la camera rumorosa e ti costringe a dormire con finestre chiuse e aria condizionata accesa . Purtoppo la camera aveva lo split davanti al letto posizione da evitare assolutamente e che dovrebbero sistemare , la camera nel complesso poi era valida , la posizione è molto bella dato che il giardino è la veranda dove si effettuano le colazioni e vista mare , la colazione un po’ scarsa come qualità e quantità .

Centrally located, clean with coastal views!

A fantastic hotel! Close to the cable car for beach access, the heart of the city for great dining and the Teatro - perfect! The rooms were clean and the hotel had a wonderful breakfast with optional outdoor seating looking over the coast. We would absolutely stay again!

Fabulous Hotel

This hotel was perfect for exploring Taormina. Short walk to the cable car or bus station. The walk to Corso Umberto is a few minutes uphill but easily done if walking is ok for you. The staff are friendly and helpful, a big thanks to Mario for all his service and tips for the area, also Fabio and Antonella on reception, always ready to help. The breakfast is fabulous with plenty of choice of good food. The staff at the breakfast area are brilliant also, making our stay a pleasure. It's a very nice atmosphere in and around the Hotel. Our room on 3rd flr had a lovely view of the sea and was kept beautifully clean. Well done to the cleaner, she was great. We are very pleased to have stayed at this Hotel. My wife loved the hotel cat - Opella, a beautiful well behaved friendly cat. Thanks again to all at Hotel Pensione Svizzera.

Hôtel formidable pour un séjour à Taormina

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet hôtel: l'emplacement est parfait pour visiter la ville, tout en étant à l'extérieur de la zone piétonne; le lieu est calme et la vue est fabuleuse depuis le jardin-terrasse. La chambre était agréable et la literie confortable. Enfin, mention spéciale pour l'excellent petit-déjeuner et la prévenance du personnel. Nous recommandons chaleureusement!

Lovely charismatic hote, about 300m from centre of town; lovely breakfasts.

Just a lovely hotel, all in all. Rooms are medium sized (18) and comfortable bed, great shower and superbly clean. Staff friendly and helpful and breakfast, a great veriety including all kinds of European fare. Lovely sofas to sit on in evening and have a glass of wine; they don't do lunch and there isn't someone always doing the bar, but service for a drink is still fine. I guess 300m up slight hill to main bit of town (along quite a narrow road. Not a negative, but this city and location of hotel demands that you are reasonably fit and healthy and a definite 'no' to anyone in wheelchair bound or not good with steps. Overall, great, would highly recommend.

Good location, great breakfast and staff!

The staff couldn’t be nicer, the close location between the bus and the cable car terminal was super convenient. Breakfast was more then you could ever want. There is an elevator which is nice. Room is small but sufficient. I had a sea view that was nice. As the road is between two busy roads can be noisy, which wasn’t a concern. This was a splurge for me and worth the splurge.

Charming hotel, great location, amazing staff!

We are so glad we stayed at Hotel La Pensione Svizzera. It's a smaller hotel with friendly staff who were super helpful and provided great recommendations. They made us feel like friends or family. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone and the best fresh-made cappuccinos! Sitting in the pretty courtyard enjoying a glass of wine was such a treat after a day of sight-seeing. The room had everything we needed including a small refrigerator, an amazing shower, and a balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the view. The rooms, facilities, and grounds were very clean. The location was very close to the gondola that takes you to the beach area and a short walk to shops, restaurants, historic sites, and a beautiful public garden.

A perfect stay in Taormina

The place was perfect. The best location to walk to the city and just steps away from the gondola to the beach. Antonella helped us find the best restaurants to eat at, and was extremely helpful and hospitable in all ways. The room was just right. I have only wonderful things to say and there was nothing negative about our visit!

Loved the ambiance of this hotel.

Svizzera is conveniently situated in central Taormina, nearby the gate to the main shopping street. It is peaceful and attractive, with a ‘traditional’ feel to it. Staff were all helpful and friendly, our top-floor suite was spacious with great views and we were given a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, (which is also served with the generous and delicious breakfast on the terrace). We will use this hotel again when we return to Taormina.

Lovely hotel!

The hotel is conveniently located just 50 meters away from the main bus station in Taormina. The entrance terrace or open space is lovely and breakfast was full of options and delicious. Having breakfast with a view is amazing :) I did read some comments regarding cars driving by either street, and yes, I could hear some cars while I was awake. However, I was so tired after strolling in town that I had a great sleep and was not bothered by the noise. Amazing spot, great price, and walking distance from everywhere! I would definitely come back! :)

Brilliant

Fantastic stay for 3 nights, brilliant breakfast and lovely hosts! We stayed in the room with the biggest balcony, which was fantastic, amazing views across Taormina. Only downside for me was the noise from other rooms, the doors are large wooden doors so if people slam them when getting up in the morning it woke us up. I would recommend packing earplugs!

A spectacular time in a spectacular hotel.

This hotel is beautiful and its location is perfect. The view from my suite was a dream. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. It was refreshing to not have to leave our hotel in the morning to eat and get a proper cappuccino or espresso and food. Everyone on the staff goes above and beyond. Special thanks to Antonella for being such a warm and gracious hostess. She offered us recommendations, helped arranged cabs for us and ensured our stay was perfect down to every detail. Extra big thanks to Mario for helping to make my big birthday so special and memorable. I am sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye to him in person and thank him again for his role in creating such wonderful memories of that day. And what can we say about sweet Coppola who delighted our group (we are all crazy cat people/rescue volunteers.) She was not just lovely to spend time with but I also don’t think I’ve ever seen a security guard work harder to ensure the couch in a hotel’s check-in area was guarded so well! Great work, Coppola. 💜

Great hotel choice

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great. The hotel is close to town and the lift to the beach. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed and nice sea view. Breakfast was delicious and there are great views from the eating area. Would definitely stay again.

Location and hospitality

This boutique hotel is in an excellent location and the service is top notch. We were within walking distance to the old town with many shops and restaurants. Mario and the entire team are so hospitable. They made our stay so enjoyable, we were treated like royalty.
