Simply wonderful!

Durch Zufall einen wunderschönen Tisch zum Abend zum Essen im Restaurant bekommen. Der Service ist außerordentlich freundlich und unser kleiner Hund bekam direkt Wasser. Unser offener Weißwein waren hervorragend, ebenso das Risotto mit Krabben und der Fisch. Das Tiramisu göttlich und der Espresso einer der Besten in der Stadt. Ich würde hier jederzeit wieder essen 👍

Florence Restaurant Must Visit

2nd time dining here and the most recent visit was a great as the first time 7 years ago. So nice to see the restaurant still thriving post pandemic. Great location just over the Ponte Vecchio. The food is amazing and the staff is great. Marco the owner is a true gentleman and gracious host. Bistecca Alla Fiorentina was terrific. And no fuss made when I asked that it be cooked just a bit more...true hospitality. Nice to see Marco carrying on the tradition his father started 41 years ago. After dinner, head over to NOF a very cool, live music bar that plays great US and Italian hits. Mille Grazie!

Great food and wonderful experience all round, would highly recommend any of the pasta dishes it is so good we went twice !!

Well worth a visit

We visited because Villa Cora the hotel we were staying at recommended this restaurant. We had planned to eat outside, but on arrival, we decided to eat inside. We were so glad we ate inside, the restaurant has a charming interior with a gentle buzz from the other tables. Gianni the sommelier was so kind and patient, he could not have been more helpful. The food was delicious, we had a couple of wines by the glass recommend by Gianni, a good decision! There are many places to dine in Florence from fine dining to local trattoria, I would highly recommend a visit here.

Great place, staff, food and wines!

Excellent evening with friends eating great traditional Tuscan cuisine and some unbelievable wines. Our sommelier and owner Marco were superb and made us feel very special all evening!

Our dinner at Osteria del Pavone was one of the best and truly delightful as I recall. We entered through the charming Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco & got to Osteria del Pavone. Since we didn’t have a reservation at Bianco restaurant the staff guided us thru to Pavone restaurant to a cozy spot at the bar counter. That was incredibly kind and accommodating. I guess they both belonged to the same owner as we were given menus from both the restaurants to order food. Both the restaurants had beautiful decor. One carried a traditional charm & the other a modern tone. We kicked off our meal with complimentary bread & olive oil. We ordered a refreshing Aperol Spritz and a glass of Chianti Classico. For starters, we dove into a creamy burrata topped with freshly shaved truffles and olive oil an intriguing combination of grilled crostini with toasted bread, anchovies, and a flavorful green paste & a sprinkle of olive oil. It was a unique and delicious combo to start with! For our main courses, we enjoyed a show-stopping dish, Chicken breast with pecorino and truffle & this dish was, without a doubt, the best and one of the highlight of our entire trip, & wife ordered wild boar ragu was equally satisfying. Both mains were perfectly complemented by two glasses of Bolgheri red wine. A special shout out to our bartender, who was not only knowledgeable about the menus and wine selections but also incredibly friendly and helpful, making our dinner experience even more enjoyable. We thoroughly savored every moment and every bite at Osteria del Pavone/ Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco. I highly recommend this bar & restaurant to anyone traveling to Florence.

Ho cenato con due amici due giorni fa. Servizio lento e cibo mediocre. Abbiamo preso 3 antipasti con polpettine di melanzane ( erano 4 polpettine molto piccole con un cucchiaio di zaztiki), uno spaghetto al pomodoro con un pizzico di burrata, due linguine con vongole assai poco fresche, una bottiglia di Chianti Classico e una bottiglia piccola di acqua minerale. Il conto è stato esageratamente alto : 177 euro. Dovrebbero evitare di spennare i turisti e noi poveri residenti.

One of the best meals that I ate in Florence Italy. The service was fantastic and the selection of wines was phenomenal. The food was amazing and flavorful.

"A tavola non si invecchia." (At the table, one does not grow old.) ~Italian Proverb It’s old school Italian, and they share the kitchen with Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco. We met Michael who owns both restaurants. The poached egg with truffles and perfectly prepared foie gras was phenomenal. And the buratta with truffles was wow too! Eccezionale!
