Die Pizzen waren wirklich lecker und das Personal war super freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. :) Besonders schön ist, dass sich das Lokal in einer verkehrsberuhigten Straße in Messina befindet. Die Lage ist also angenehm ruhig und – was besonders wichtig ist – frei von Abgasen. Das Essen ist außerdem sehr preiswert: Für zwei große Pizzen, ein Glas Wein, eine 0,75-l-Flasche Bier und eine 0,5-l-Flasche Wasser haben wir nur knapp 40 € bezahlt.

lovely peaceful place for a beer and amazing pizza. everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Very good value for money so close to the port and the automonous clock.

Afaq was the most kind, attentive, and accommodating server we’ve had in Italy!

We had lunch here during our cruise stop in Messina. They have a nice little shaded area right on the street and the scenery is very homey. During this trip, we’ve been to Venice, Corfu, Dubrovnik, and Split, and this was undoubtedly the best meal we’ve had so far. The grilled prawns tasted incredibly fresh, the pizza dough was fantastic, and the service from Afaq was absolutely perfect. There looked to be a ton of restaurants nearby, but we are so happy we chose this one!

We had a lovely lunch in the shade next to the most beautiful church on Sicily with the astronomical clock that plays music every half hour. The arancini (meat, rice and cheese balls) and pizza was so delicious! The owners/servers were super attentive and we were in and out in less than an hour. Easy to get back on our cruise ship which was only a couple of blocks away. Highly recommend!

Great little place to grab a bite. They have a variety of options with excellent service to include inside and outside seating options. Afaq took great care of us and ensured we had a good experience. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful lunch at Pizzeria San Giacomo. We walked out of the port from a cruise and it was an extremely easy walk. The location was excellent, and the staff was great. Our waiter was Afaq, and he was attentive and very kind. We are English speakers and he spoke English very well, which was helpful. Within the family, we had the lasagna, carbonara, spinach cannelloni, margarita pizza and diavola pizza. All dishes were prepared well and were very tasty. After walking around Messina for a while, we went back for dessert. Their gelato and sorbet desserts were delicious also. Prices were very reasonable. If given the chance, I would definitely go back again.

We wanted to wait for the Bell Tower 12:00 pm performance, so we chose to spend some time at this quaint little establishment close by. I ordered the Hazelnut coffee with a ricotta cannoli and my husband ordered a cafe with a pistaccio cannoli. All i can say is WOW! I generally would never order a cannoli but decided to give it a try since we were in Messina Italy. The cannoli was absolutely fantastic. Stop by for a quick snack or a full meal. You won't regret the visit. Friendly staff and quick service.
