Very tasty food and atmosphere, pasta is just amazing!

Great food & service

Had the grilled Gamberi (prawns), caprese insalata & grilled swordfish. All these meals were excellent. The English speaking waiter (young bloke from Amsterdam) made the business work with English speaking only tourists. He ran a full restaurant almost single hand and extremely polite. Thanks to the waiter for making our lunch very enjoyable.

Me and my family had an absolute blast there!! The service was really nice and cheerful! The communication was really smooth and easy! We also didn't wait long and the food itself was absolutely delicious! All the way from the lunch to dessert! The location of it is also really convenient and in a nice shade, which is greatly appreciated! I recommend it wholeheartedly!

Die Pizzen waren wirklich lecker und das Personal war super freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. :) Besonders schön ist, dass sich das Lokal in einer verkehrsberuhigten Straße in Messina befindet. Die Lage ist also angenehm ruhig und – was besonders wichtig ist – frei von Abgasen. Das Essen ist außerdem sehr preiswert: Für zwei große Pizzen, ein Glas Wein, eine 0,75-l-Flasche Bier und eine 0,5-l-Flasche Wasser haben wir nur knapp 40 € bezahlt.

lovely peaceful place for a beer and amazing pizza. everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Very good value for money so close to the port and the automonous clock.

Afaq was the most kind, attentive, and accommodating server we’ve had in Italy!

We had lunch here during our cruise stop in Messina. They have a nice little shaded area right on the street and the scenery is very homey. During this trip, we’ve been to Venice, Corfu, Dubrovnik, and Split, and this was undoubtedly the best meal we’ve had so far. The grilled prawns tasted incredibly fresh, the pizza dough was fantastic, and the service from Afaq was absolutely perfect. There looked to be a ton of restaurants nearby, but we are so happy we chose this one!

Afaq was a kind, knowledgeable and friendly waiter. The food was excellent, and I highly recommend the pistachio pesto pasta! Quick service. Wonderful!

We had a lovely lunch in the shade next to the most beautiful church on Sicily with the astronomical clock that plays music every half hour. The arancini (meat, rice and cheese balls) and pizza was so delicious! The owners/servers were super attentive and we were in and out in less than an hour. Easy to get back on our cruise ship which was only a couple of blocks away. Highly recommend!
