Good, delicious, wholesome well-presented and cooked food

This was an absolutely fabulous experience on all levels. Fatima and her husband Mohammed have not lost any family values in their presentation and cooking. It was like eating at the table of old friends.

Delicious Italian meal in elegant surroundings. Ideal for fish and seafood lovers. Don’t miss out the tiramisu!

Absolutely delicious meal at this charming restaurant in Malcesine. A warm welcome followed by some bread and spicy olives. There were four of us and we shared two starters - a Caesar salad and a Caprese salad - which were both fresh and tasty and more than enough ahead of our main course. Three of us had the aglio, olio, peperoncino spaghetti with prawns which was to die for! The other main course was the gnocchi with tomatoes and burrata foam, so light but with depth of flavour. The house wine was delicious and so reasonably priced. We were quite full but a thunderstorm forced us to stay for dessert - an excellent tiramisu and an elegant pannacotta with forest fruits. All rounded off with limoncello and coffee. Faultless meal and service in beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend.

Ristorante dell’atmosfera accogliente e piatti saporiti

Siamo appena usciti dal ristorante io e mio marito e siamo rimasti super contenti dalla deliziosa cena gentilezza é professionalità dei gestori, locale tipico del posto con atmosfera molto accogliente e famigliare, abbiamo preso il branzino alla griglia con ratatouille di verdure e il couscous con frutti di mare servito in tagin, piatti veramente curati il cibo era molto saporito e il pesce fresco, consiglio vivamente!

Well worth a visit!

Delicious food, beautifully presented. Lots to choose from on the menu. The caprese was perfect, as was the tuna. My husband had salmon, my kids had mussels, followed by ravioli with clean plates all round! Service was excellent. I would highly recommend!

Heerlijk gegeten!

Mede nav TripAdvisor hier naar binnen gelopen. Niet echt ruime zitplaatsen en toen het hoofdgerecht geserveerd werd moest er gepast en gemeten worden. Maar dat is bijzaak!! Eten was heerlijk. Snelle en hele vriendelijke bediening. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Jederzeit wieder

Wir empfehlen das Lokal gerne weiter. Netter Service, gutes Essen und faire Preise. Wir teilten uns die Muscheln als Vorspeise und waren von der Lachsforelle (bereits super portioniert) mit Grillgemüse (sehr bissfest und kein Tiefkühleinerlei) begeistert. Mir hat auch gefallen, dass das Paar am Nebentisch, das ein Nudelgericht als gemeinsame Vorspeise bestellte, zwei liebevoll zubereitete Teller bekam. Das sind Kleinigkeiten, die freuen und eine Weiterempfehlung leicht machen.

Outstanding location, outstanding food

Outstanding food, outstanding service and outstanding venue. We called in for dinner off spec. So pleased we did too, as one of the best meals of the week. I had a fillet of steak with porcini mushrooms truffle sauce and ratatouille - it was unbelievably lovely and tasty! Kamal the chef is brilliant. Manap was our waiter and he was very attentive and a good, professional server. Try the Chianti and tuna salad! Really has been fabulous!! X

Beautiful meal

This restaurant was recommended to us and we were not disappointed, we had the most beautiful time, it is such a lovely setting, we had a relaxing evening with the most delicious food, wonderful ambience, excellent service, it was a lovely evening we will definitely be back thank you

Without doubt, the best food in town!

Right, here we go. Our honest and unbiased review. We went there on the first night of our holiday and were blown away by the whole thing. However, we like to try different places each night before reviewing anywhere so we went to several other returants during our stay. After a bad expereience elsewhere mid week in the town (which was extremely dissapointing - see other review) we decided to give the Gondoliere another try mid week. Again, absolutely superb! So much so that without hesitation we booked there again for our last night. We arrived slightly early for our reservation on the last night but they made us feel extremely welcomed anyway. As we waited in the bar area we were prsented with a glass of Prosecco (a nice touch). Ten minutes later we were shown to our table and experienced the most glorious food of our stay. Our final comments would be that this resturant does simple italian food that is cooked well, the service is as it should be (subtle but attentive) the ambiance is great and it is clear that they take a pride in what they do. Although we booked each time, just call if you want. You will always be made welcome. Well done to the owners and staff. You left us wanting more!!

Fantastisch! Ein super bezauberndes Restaurant mit Charme. Es ist sehr schön dort zu sitzen. Das Essen ist fantastisch,man schmeckt die Frische und Qualität der Speisen. Der Service ist ebenfalls zügig und aufmerksam,ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Ein echter Geheimtipp im so schönen Ort Malcesine.

Non indugiate, entrate e lasciatevi trascinare dalla tradizione del gondoliere ... Familiarità di origine Marocchina che ha saputo mescolare le usanze e cucina di Marrakech con i nostri cibi e culture italiane , prendendo e proponendo il meglio delle une e delle altre ... mettendoci a nostro agio, abbiamo cenato passando dal cous cous al pesce ai ferri ... ottimi dolci e conto onesto...continuate così ve lo meritate ...

Ein kleines Idyll im Zentrum vom Malcesine

Preis/Leistung passen hier absolut. Wir hatten den Wolfsbarsch, den ich nur empfehlen kann. Eine Kartoffel mehr hätte aber nicht geschadet. Obwohl das Restaurant zentral liegt, isst man in der ersten Etage auf der offenen Terrasse in Ruhe - okay, die Tischnachbarn sitzen schon sehr nah dran.

Outstanding food and service.

Went here twice and both times the food and service were outstanding. Lovely setting too, with a very friendly feeling about it. Would recommend the seafood cous cous and the pasta dish with pistachio
